Who is Dolli?
Award – Winning Connecticut native Dolli has always had an eye for fashion; since an adolescent she has been expressing herself through what she wears; and affectionally calling herself Idollivisions. The name Idolli was formed after a childhood nickname of Chynadoll was shorten to Dolli. The “I” is a metaphor for the vision that represents her creative eye in the art of fashion. In 2014, Dolli began freelancing as a self- taught visual merchandiser for a boutique and curating fashion content for a local fashion magazine in Connecticut. She started sharing her fashion content on social media which helped land her first professional job as a wardrobe stylist for a project with Michael Bivins of the 1980’s legendary group “New Edition”.
In 2018, she studied and graduated from celebrity stylist and MCM global creative Misa Hyltons’ Fashion Academy in New York City. She went on to intern at Elle Magazine’s Fashion Closet and was an assistant stylist for a spread in their 2018 December issue. Dolli has worked on numerous NYFW fashion shows, commercials and music videos. Most notably, her styling credits included working with Roc Nation, Good Morning America, Essence, Complex.com. Dolli has worked in costumes for HBO Max, ABC, and NBC. The mother of two currently alternates between Connecticut and New York as a Costumer (Local 764 IATSE) in television and film production pursing a future career as a Costume Designer.
